Linda becomes Twitter's new CEO

Linda Yaccarino has been appointed CEO of social media platform Twitter. The new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, has officially announced the appointment of Linda as the new CEO. It is said that he will take over the leadership of the company from this week.

 



In a tweet on Friday evening, Musk said - I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter. She will mainly focus on business operations. While I will focus on product design and new technology. I look forward to working with Linda to take this platform to new heights.






Musk bought the Twitter company for $44 billion in October last year. After that he dismissed various senior officers including the then CEO Parag Agarwal and took over the responsibility of CEO of the company himself. Also, last February, he published a picture of his dog named Shiba Ibu sitting on the chair of the CEO of the company.

According to Bloomberg's report, Musk has said that he will hand over the position of CEO as soon as a suitable person is found after taking over as CEO of Twitter. Musk will now lead Twitter's software and server team.

According to Linda's LinkedIn profile, she has been associated with NBC Universal since 2011. She is currently the head of the company's global advertising and partnerships department. Previously, she worked in the entertainment and digital advertising sales department of the company.




Linda worked at Turner for 19 years. She worked as executive vice president and CEO in that company.
